Royal Staffordshire Pottery

For consideration I am offering this absolutely stunning plate in the pattern 'Rural Scenes' by Royal Staffordshire of Burslem England. This is one of the most beautiful scenic patterns ever produced on transferware. The scene or face of the plate is a brown transfer and depicts  a hunter on horseback setting out from the cottage behind him.  The brown transfer has been hand painted with vivid highlights of red, green, blue and gold/taupe.  The cobalt blue floral and fruit border just makes this pop! It is outlined with a gilt edge.

Truly a wonderful find for your collection!
