I've never had the opportunity to offer this piece to my customers and it's one of my favorites. From Spode's Field Sports series which was produced between 1890-1940 this circa 1930's rimmed, rectangular  shaped serving platter features  artwork by J F Herring.  Herring created numerous hunt scenes for Spode.  The border is my favorite thing about this plate being of mixed foliage and flowers. Parts of the scene and border are hand painted with shades of purple, red, mauve, yellow and taupe - brown. It is simply stunning!

Condtion: No chips or cracks, a bit of crazing.

Excellent addition for a transferware collection or lover of English hunt scenes and hunt country!
